Maybe Vladimir is trapped in this world because he has left the earthly one. Ive actually thought about doing this a few times, not as a game, but as a central hub for all the tools Ive made/plan to make. Some text such as 'NO DC' appears in the top-left corner of the project manager and editor window. They do have the ability to be resized by the user built in though. It is unlikely that one would go to the same place with the same people in every night’s dream. The Godot editor appears frozen after clicking the system console. Estragon and Vladimir stand with a start. Estragon and Vladimir are still sitting by the tree, waiting. That could explain why every day seems to be repeating for Vladimir. Another thing that is interesting is that Beckett, through the characters, keeps linking sleep and death. Perhaps the story takes place not within the kind of dream that happens in simple sleep, but within the kind of hallucinatory dreams that happen from opium or other substances. The strange conversations that the two main characters have, and the bizarre characters they encounter, are reminiscent of some kind of drug-induced trip. Estragon, sitting on a low mound, is trying to take off his boot. For example, all the characters around him do not remember the day before, but he does. Vladimir does seem to be the main character in the play. Vladimir himself questions whether or not he will “wake up” and remember any of these happenings at the end of the play. There is, of course, the question of whether or not the entire play takes place within a dream. Vladimir never wants to hear what happens in the many dreams Estragon has. ![]() The idea of Dreams seems to have an interesting presence throughout Waiting For Godot.
